Jin-woo Yang

Operator, Ask The Stars

Jin-woo Yang, operator of Ask The Stars, was born in Jeju Island, South Korea, which is famous for its natural beauty. He was greatly influenced by his father, who was a middle school teacher and well versed in fortune telling, feng shui, and alternative medicine, from whom others sought advice. He first came across a book on Qi training at his friend's house in the 6th grade of elementary school, and then read various books on his own for 6 years in middle and high school, learning Qigong and Taijiquan on his own.

After his admission to the university was confirmed, he entered Qi training in earnest through a professional institution. For the first 3 months, he devoted himself to training for more than 10 hours a day, and for the next 2 years, he devoted more than 2 hours a day to Qi training on average. In addition, he was always interested in health, so Hand Acupuncture started as a club activity after entering university, which led to research, volunteer work, and lectures on Hand Acupuncture or oriental medicine, which led to studying Yin-Yang and the Four Elements.

At that time, all Korean men were in their early 20s and were doing compulsory military service for 26 months. During this time, he studied fortune telling and psychological astrology more deeply in his free time, accumulating experience through free consultations with unit members and officers within the unit. From 1998 to 1999, he worked as a master at the Qi training center where he had been training. In 2000, he entered aromatherapy and did group study and interning in related fields. After that, he made perfumes and cosmetics at personal request. He doubled down on giving. He worked as a professional masseuse until 2002, in 2000 he obtained a sports massage and foot massage license. As a health adviser for two years from 2002, he worked to manage customers' detox and weight in a healthy way.

In 2003, his older sister, who was working as a cover designer at a publishing company, gave him a new tarot book from her publishing company as a gift, and he fell in love with tarot cards and formally entered tarot cards. This prompted him to begin a formal study of medieval and Renaissance astrology. He also started Saju counseling part-time in 2003 and finally switched to full-time counseling in 2004. As a result, he became the first person in Korea to start counseling on destiny by integrating the fortune telling and classical astrology. From 2004 to 2007, he was invited to a tarot event held regularly at Lotte Department Store and Hyundai Department Store as a customer event and consulted. From 2005 to 2009, he also published the horoscope of the month in various magazines and contributed to feng shui interiors.

In 2007, he began to learn the Park Do-sa's Saju technique in earnest, and in 2008, he systematically studied Hellenistic Astrology and completed the current counseling system that looks at his destiny by integrating techniques from the East and the West.

He has more than 30,000 hours of counseling with about 20,000 customers over 20 years from 2003 to the present, and most of his counseling experiences are offline face-to-face counseling. Since he has consulted mainly in hot places such as Yongsan and Apgujeong, he has many cases of counseling, especially for celebrities, entertainment, wedding, and beauty workers. In addition, he has continuously consulted upper-middle-class mothers living in the area on the design of their children's lives for more than 15 years.
